Staff members can check in on guests’ pets and even text their owners and send them a photo to confirm their pets are doing well. This service is available for $25 for a 10-minute visit.

For those in need of dog walking services, the W Insider team can arrange walks through a preferred vendor. Guests should reach out to W Insider for further details.

Helpful Tips for Staying at Pet-Friendly Hotels

Review The Hotel’s Pet Policy In Advance

Each hotel has its own pet policy, including size restrictions, fees, and limits on the number of pets per room. We recommend checking these details before booking to avoid any surprises.

If you have any questions about your stay with your pet, it’s best to contact the hotel in advance.

Check Amenities

Some hotels go beyond just allowing pets by offering convenient amenities like designated relief areas, pet-sitting services, or dog-walking options. These extras can make your stay more comfortable for both you and your pet.

Explore Las Vegas

Las Vegas has several pet-friendly parks and outdoor dining spots where pets are welcome. Checking ahead can help you find places that suit your plans.

Service Dogs in Hotels

Service dogs are not considered pets but are instead recognized as medical equipment, and different regulations apply to them. These dogs are trained to perform specific tasks related to a person’s disability, whether physical or mental. They have legal access to public places, including those with a "no pets" policy.

In the US, service dog teams are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and discrimination against them is a violation of federal law. While service dogs are allowed to accompany their handlers in public places, they must remain under control at all times.

This means service animals (which can be dogs only) must be on a leash, harness, or other tethered unless such a device interferes with their work.

Businesses are required to provide reasonable accommodations for service dog teams as long as doing so does not fundamentally alter the nature of the goods or services offered.

You may want to review the ADA regulations on service dogs in hotels:

Can hotels assign designated rooms for guests with service animals, out of consideration for other guests?

No. A guest with a disability who uses a service animal must be provided the same opportunity to reserve any available room at the hotel as other guests without disabilities. They may not be restricted to “pet-friendly” rooms.

Can hotels charge a cleaning fee for guests who have service animals?

No. Hotels are not permitted to charge guests for cleaning the hair or dander shed by a service animal. However, if a guest’s service animal causes damages to a guest room, a hotel is permitted to charge the same fee for damages as charged to other guests.

Are hotel guests allowed to leave their service animals in their hotel room when they leave the hotel?

No, the dog must be under the handler’s control at all times.

Are gyms, fitness centers, hotels, or municipalities that have swimming pools required to allow a service animal in the pool with its handler?

No. The ADA does not override public health rules that prohibit dogs in swimming pools. However, service animals must be allowed on the pool deck and in other areas where the public is allowed to go.”
